Go.

yeah you gotta swim
don’t let yourself sink
just find the horizon
I promise you it’s not as far as you’d think

Swim, Jack’s Mannequin

Keep going.
You’ll get there.

I promise.

Life Lesson #76

Treat others how you want to be treated.

I can not stress this enough.
I’m sick of people disrespecting others,
just because there is one or multiple things they judge in a person.
Respect makes the world go round.
At least that’s the mindset I have.

Respect gets you way ahead in life.
Try it sometime.

Captain.

I am forever my captain.
My own navigator in
exploring the world
and enjoying the beauty
even found in negative spaces
of dead-ends, mess ups, and stalls.
And that’s ok.
The journey is awesome.

Simple.

you’re fine exactly as you are.
your curves, words, flaws, strengths, thoughts…
you don’t need to change.
you aren’t ugly, fat, stupid, or worthless.
you are you, and you are beautiful.

Will you be doing all, or some, of this?

Sugarcoating? No thanks.

I use to be a real “people-pleaser” back in the day, because I didn’t want to hurt them. Pretty much, I was lying to myself in the process too. It’s not good to do. Honesty can be good or bad, but we all need to hear it no matter what.

No sugarcoating. I don’t want to rot my mouth and mind.

Lessons.

I’ve learned a lot this year.. I learned that things don’t always turn our the way you planned, or the way you think they should. And I’ve learned that there are things that go wrong that don’t always get fixed or get put back together the way they were before. I’ve learned that some broken things stay broken, and I’ve learned that you can get through bad times and keep looking for better ones, as long as you have people who love you.” -Jennifer Weiner

Time.

Time does heal everything, even it seems like it takes a very long while. We’ve had our fair share of heartbreaks: love, friendships, the retirement of your favorite ice cream. It happens, but we get through it. You have to give yourself patience, sanity, and TIME. Shit happens, lesson learned, and you got to move onto something better.
